REDCap is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. REDCap is available to all UC San Diego faculty and staff, and to users outside the organization who have sponsorship from UC San Diego faculty.

Requirements for Access
Access to REDCap is currently controlled through the Single Sign-On system. All REDCap users must have a Business Systems Single Sign-On. These can be granted by any Department Security Administrator. Your DSA’s contact information can be looked up at: https://iam.ucsd.edu/dsasearch/deptList.
If you are accessing REDCap from outside the university firewall, you will also need an Active Directory account to access the VPN.
Once granted access to the REDCap application, all users have access to extensive training videos, located on the REDCap home page. Additionally, we offer two hours of free hands-on training tailored to your project’s needs. This training must be scheduled by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. All training will be conducted in the ACTRI building.

The REDCap Wiki is a tool available to all REDCap users to post questions to the UCSD REDCap community.
While REDCap may be used to store PHI, it is not CFR 21 Part 11 compliant. If your project requires compliance with CFR 21 Part 11, you will need to use the Velos system.
